About me

Christelise de Graaf became enamoured with the singing voice as a young girl – and since then, has committed to exploring the voice and its capabilities.

Her vocal skills are varied and wide, with her love for musical theatre, jazz, contemporary and classical music, creating a performer and singing teacher who is versatile and highly skilled.

As passionate about performing on the stage as in the teaching studio, Christelise loves helping others fall in love with singing, and training students to unlock their voice to realise their potential. With over a decade of teaching experience, she is kept wonderfully inspired in her studio in Belgrave, teaching students of all ages and all abilities.

Christelise is a captivating performer - as comfortable amongst the jazz and popular standards, as she is in the classical realm of opera and art song. She is a founding member of both Duo de Graaf Connie and Fourtune. Christelise regularly performs in Melbourne and surrounds.

In 2023, Christelise founded The Hills Singers - an adult, for-fun choir focussed on developing positivity and joy around singing in a group, and sharing music with the Dandenong Ranges community.

Away from music, Christelise is a certified Permaculture Designer, who is passionate about getting back to basic, sustainable practices in her home and life, as well as creating meaningful connections in her local community. She is always open to a ‘garden chat’ or helping others find more sustainable habits in their lives - whether that be learning how to bake sourdough, grow some herbs or gathering people in to meaningful community connection.
